This faculty was founded in 2002 under the title of Faculty of Social Sciences at Shiraz University and comprised of three departments. In 2005, it was renamed to the faculty of ‘Economics, Management and Social Sciences'. One year later, the faculty was separated into two departments of Accounting and Management. In 2009, the department of Tourism was added to this faculty. The faculty now has five major departments.
